On 12/21/21 at 9:55am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Martha Malane arrived at the facility to conduct a case management inspection. Upon arrival, LPA met with Program Director, Wendy Marquez and proceeded to tour the facility. There were no children present during the inspection as the facility is closed for a holiday break. The facility is requesting a capacity increase from 160 preschool children (age 2 through 5 years) to 264 preschool children (age 2 through 5 years). Facility operates Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm.

The following rooms were inspected and measured during this inspection and measured the following:

· Multi-purpose Room (utilized for large motor activity use only): measured a total of 1428.52 square feet
· Small Multi-purpose Room (utilized for large motor activity use only): measured a total of 615 square feet

The rooms measured a total of 2043.52 square feet which is sufficient to accommodate 27 children for large motor activities. The facility is requesting to utilize the multi-purpose room and the small multi-purpose room for large motor activity space only, not as classrooms. The rooms are equipped with age appropriate toys, bikes, balls and other materials for children. The facility has a total of 28 toilets and 31 sinks, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 264.

The outdoor activity space was inspected and measured a total of 6262.95 square feet which is sufficient to accommodate 83 children. Due to insufficient outdoor space, the director stated the facility will request a waiver to accommodate the increase in capacity. The director will also inquire about installing additional fencing to extend the current outdoor space. Outdoor play equipment and materials are age appropriate. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in safe condition. Director will add cushioning under the high play equipment and remove the ladder to the highest point of the structure.
