25 | On 8/17/2022, at 10:20 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Claudia Amador conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with Licensee, Noemi Vazquez. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection. The licensee led the tour of the facility indoors and outdoors. During this visit there were three (3) preschoolers in care.
The facility is a 3 bed, 2 bath, detached home on 1 floor. The following areas are used for childcare: living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom #2, #3 and bathroom #2. Off-limits areas include the the master bedroom and bathroom #1, and the laundry room which are made inaccessible through the use of a key lock. The backyard is fully fenced and used for care. There are two (2) locked shed in the backyard. The front yard is not used for care.
The outside driveway area is fully fenced. There are no fireplaces in the home. Hours of operation are Monday – Sunday, 12:00 am to 11:59 pm.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were inaccessible to children in care. LPA observed poisons stored high on a shelf during the inspection. LPA informed licensee poisons shall be placed in a storage area and locked. The licensee removed cleaning compounds immediately and stored them in a cabinet and locked with a key lock. Images filed.
A Technical Assistance and Technical Violation was issued.
LPA observed toys and materials available for children’s use. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities. LPA informed licensee to ensure children are supervised at all times during outdoor activities. Licensee stated there are no bodies of water and LPA did not observe any bodies of water during the inspection. Licensee stated there are no firearms, other weapons or ammunition in the home. |
