25 | On August 30, 2023 at 02:41 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Edgar Campana conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with the Licensee, Adriana Parga. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. Four (4) children and Licensee's husband/helper, Jose Parga, were present in the facility during this inspection. Jose Parga is background check cleared and associated to the facility. Licensee accompanied LPA on a tour of the facility. This one story, 2 bedroom, 1 bath home was inspected. The following areas are used for childcare: the living room/ day care area, one hallway bathroom, the kitchen, one bedroom, the laundry room, the dining area, the front gated patio, and the back fenced yard. The following areas are kept inaccessible with the use of locks or safety gates: 1 bedroom.
The fire extinguisher (rated 3A-40 BC) smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detectors met requirements. All hazardous items were inaccessible to children. The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available. Home does not have a fireplace. Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 04/2025. Licensee has required immunizations. Licensee's Mandated Reporter Training certificate expired on 08/05/2023. Licensee was advised to renew Mandated Reporter Training as soon as possible. Facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted on March 07, 2023.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
