On 2/22/2024 at 2:00 PM Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Thien Dinh conducted an unannounced, licensee initiated case management visit in response to update areas for daycare use. LPA Dinh met with daycare assistant, Blanca De La Rosa, and informed her of the purpose of the visit. There were 7 children and 1 assistant present at the time of this visit.
LPA Dinh reviewed the file for Blanca De La Rosa and all requirements are met. Per the licensee's request, a parent (P1) provided translation during the inspection.
The licensee, Rose Cano, arrived at 2:35 PM with 1 child that she picked up from school. The licensee accompanied LPA on a tour of the new daycare area, as shown on the updated facility sketch. The daycare area is a large room in the back of the house attached to the home. The daycare area is free from defects or conditions which might endanger a child. The new daycare area is kept clean, orderly, with heating and ventilation. There are safe toys, play equipment and materials for children. The applicant was advised that any poisons must be locked with a key or combination lock. The applicant stated that there are no weapons or firearms on the premises.
LPA did not observe any hazardous items in the new daycare area. The new daycare area can be used effectively as of today 2/22/2024.
