25 | On April 24, 2023, at 10:45 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Gloria Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with the Licensee, Maria Gomez. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. Two (2) daycare children and one (1) staff member was in the facility during this inspection. This facility is a one story, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. Licensee accompanied LPA inside and out of the facility during this inspection. The following areas used for child care are: living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway bathroom #1, and backyard. Off limits areas are bedrooms #1, #2, #3, bathroom #2, and garage and are inaccessible through use of a safety gate. Hours of operation are: Monday-Sunday from 7:00 am-8:00 pm.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were made inaccessible to children during the inspection. The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities at time of inspection. LPA observed a kiddie aluminum above ground pools that is empty and is made inaccessible to children by proper fencing height that is locked. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certification expires on 9/2024. Licensee has required immunizations. Licensee completed Mandated Reporter Training on 1/27/22. Facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 5/16/22. |
