25 | On September 13, 2022, at 10:15 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Gloria Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with the Licensee, Ramona Rosas. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. No daycare children and no staff were present in the facility during this inspection. This facility is a two story, 7 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms house. Licensee accompanied LPA inside and out of the facility during this inspection. The following areas used for child care are: Great room (living room 1), dining room, kitchen, bathroom #1, parlor (daycare TV room), bedroom 7 (daycare room), and backyard. Off limits areas are bedroom 6, garage, and all of upstairs (bedrooms #1-#5 and bathrooms #2 and #3 and are inaccessible through use of door locks. Licensee is not operating her daycare at this time as she will go on inactive status.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were made inaccessible to children during the inspection. The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities at time of inspection. The upstairs is not used and is gated off at the bottom of the stairway and the applicant understands the gate must be in place when children under five years are present during day care hours. No bodies of water observed on the premises during the inspection. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances, Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certification expires on 2/10/23. Licensee has required immunizations. Licensee completed Mandated Reporter Training on 6/20/18. Facility roster was not obtained as Licensee does not have daycare children at the time of this inspection. No fire and disaster drills have been conducted due to not having daycare children. |
