25 | On 05/30/2023 at 02:40 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) David Miller and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Tulam Vu, conducted an unannounced Annual Required 1 year inspection and met with the licensee Carmen Anzaldo. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted facility entry by the Licensee. The licensee, two (2) infants, and three (3) preschool children (ages 2-4) were present in the facility during this inspection. ID16280 and ID15268 from Language Link provided translation from Spanish. This single story, 4 bedrooms, 3-bathroom home was inspected. The following areas are used for day-care: living room, dining room, daycare bathroom, daycare bedroom, family room, kitchen, nook, and east patio. Off limits areas include: bedroom 1, bedroom 2, bedroom 3, bathroom 1, bathroom 2, garage and are made inaccessible to day care children through the use of doorknob covers and safety gates.
The fire extinguisher and smoke/carbon monoxide detector met requirements. The licensee has available toys, play equipment and materials. Children play outside in the fenced backyard. Licensee was reminded that continuous supervision is to be given to children whenever engaged in outdoor activities. No bodies of water were observed on the premises during the inspection. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home and LPA did not observe any firearms at the time of this inspection.
Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire in 04/2025. Licensee has required immunizations. Licensee completed the mandated reporter training on 01/26/2022. The facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 05/02/2023 (fire) and 05/03/2023 (earthquake). .
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
