25 | On May 1, 2020 Licensing Program Analyst, (LPA), Gloria Gonzalez conducted an announced case management inspection, that was initiated by Licensee's, Imelda and Dania Rodriguez via video conference by Face Time, due to the Covid-19 outbreak. LPA disclosed the purpose of today's inspection which is to inspect the new room addition and was granted a video tour into the facility by the Licensee's. Licensee stated that there are no (0) children in care during the inspection. This home is a two story, 5 bedroom, and 3 bathroom home.
LPA inspected the new room addition that was previously a garage and now is converted to the daycare area. Fire clearance was received on April 21, 2020, which states the new added room is livable space (permit #19-0464). Permit from the city was received on March 18, 2020. The room has a door that leads to the backyard, another door that leads to the garage, which is made inaccessible to children by the use of door knob covers. The room also has a large window. LPA did not notice any hazards in the new room, and is approved for the day care use effective today. The new areas that will be accessible to the day care children include the following: the new addition (which is to be used as the new day care area (known as daycare room in the new facility sketch), the bathroom next to the daycare room, (known as bathroom #1 in new facility sketch), bedroom 1, which also be used for sick area, and the back yard. The following areas are now inaccessible to the day care children: the living room, dining room, kitchen, TV room, garage and all of upstairs, (which include bedroom 2,3,4,5, bathroom 2, 3, and laundry room), which are made inaccessible to children by the use of door knobs and and a baby gate.
A copy of the report and appeal rights (LIC 9058) will be e-mailed to the Licensees and Licensees were advised that acknowledgement of the receipts of the report and appeal rights are to be received within twenty-four hours. |
