25 | On September 27, 2021, at 1:05 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Gloria Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and to inspect a room addition (converted garage) and met with the Licensee, Lorenia Ramirez. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. Three (3) children and two (2) staff were present in the facility during this inspection. This facility is a one story, three (3) bedroom, two (2) bathroom house. The following areas used for childcare are: living room #1 and #2, kitchen, bathroom #2, bedroom #1, new daycare room, backyard, and dining room. Off limit areas are bedroom #2, #3, bathroom #1 and are inaccessible through use of a baby gate and door knob covers. Hours of operation: 2:00 am-11:00 pm Monday through Sunday.
LPA received the granted fire clearance on 9/21/21. The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were made inaccessible to children during the inspection. The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities. No bodies of water observed on the premises during the inspection. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. A review of staff records on this date indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse clearances. Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire on 3/2022. Licensee has required immunizations. Licensee completed Mandated Reporter Training on 2/23/21. Facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented on 6/7/21.
There is one play yard for each infant who is unable to climb out of the play yard. Play yards are free from all loose articles and objects. Licensee physically checks on sleeping infants up to 24 months of age every 15 minutes. An Individual Infant Sleeping Plan [LIC 9227 (3/20)] is maintained for each infant up to 12 months of age. Licensee places infants up to 12 months of age on their backs for sleeping. |
