25 | On September 9, 2020 Licensing Program Analyst, (LPA), Gloria Gonzalez conducted an unannounced case management inspection, that was initiated by Licensee, Dalila Garcia via video conference by Face Time, due to the Covid-19 outbreak. LPA disclosed the purpose of today's inspection which is to inspect the new room addition and the backyard that was off limits and Licensee is requesting to be used by daycare children. LPA was granted a video tour into the facility by the Licensee. Licensee stated that there are (4) children in care during the inspection. This home is a two story, 4 bedroom, and 3 bathroom home.
LPA inspected the new room addition that was previously a patio and now is converted to the daycare area and the back yard. Fire clearance was received on September 2, 2020, which states the new added room is livable space . Permit from the city was received on August 24, 2020, (permit #20-0197). The room has three doors that leads to the backyard and also has a window. LPA did not notice any hazards in the new room, and is approved for the daycare use effective today. The back yard is now free of bushes with spikes, all have been removed and can use the back yard as of today. Licensee states the backyard is fully fenced.
The new areas that will be accessible to the day care children include the following: the new addition (which is to be used as the new daycare area (known as family room 2 in the new facility sketch), family room 1, bathroom 1, bedroom 1, kitchen, living room, dining room, and laundry room. The following areas are inaccessible to the day care children: all of upstairs, room 2, 3, 4, bathroom 2,3, and garage, which are made inaccessible to children by the use of door knobs and a baby gate.
A copy of the report and appeal rights (LIC 9058) will be e-mailed to the Licensee and Licensee was advised that acknowledgement of the receipts of the report and appeal rights are to be received within twenty-four hours. |
