Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Pete Espinoza met with Leonor Santana, Licensee, today on 03/04/2020 at 10:00 AM for the purpose of conducting an unannounced 1-year Annual Required inspection. LPA toured and inspected all areas according to the facility sketch. The home is set-up as follows:
This is a single-story house with 3 bedrooms (master bathroom), kitchen, dining room, day-care room, living room, kitchen, bathroom one bedroom and garage. Licensee states the inside the day-care room, living room, kitchen, bathroom and backyard will be utilized for the family childcare activity area. The off-limit areas made inaccessible to children in care are one of the bedrooms, master bedroom/bathroom and garage.

Upon arrival, LPA noted Licensee, her husband and nine (9) day care children present during today's inspection. Facility Hour of operation are from 7:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation. Poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds, medicines and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children were inaccessible. LPA observed fully charged (2A10BC) fire extinguishers. Carbon monoxide and Fire Alarm are in operable and working condition. Home contains a first aid kit that has all the required tools and equipment. LPA observed age appropriate toys and napping equipment located in the bedroom. Home has central AC and heat. CPR/First Aid expire: 02/08/2022. Fireplace is screened (day-care room).

Area for children in backyard is completely fenced. Outdoor play was inspected and determined to clean and sanitary. There is a wooden swing set observed. Areas of water (small stream) is fenced per regulation.

**Parent Board contained all documents that are required to be posted according to Title 22 Regulations.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. §1596.8662. Availability of information regarding detecting and reporting child abuse and neglect; training for mandated reporter who is licensed day care provider, administrator, or employee of a licensed child day care facility; proof of completion

(b) (1) On or before March 30, 2018, a person who, on January 1, 2018, is a licensed child care provider, administrator, or employee of a licensed child day care facility shall complete the mandated reporter training provided pursuant to paragraphs (2) and (3) of subdivision (a), and shall complete renewal mandated reporter training every (2) year following the date on which he or she completed the initial mandated reporter training.

Per Title 22 Regulations, One (1) deficiencies was cited during this inspection. Exit interview conducted with Leonor Santana, Licensee copy of this report and Notice of Site Visit were discussed and provided to Licensee. Licensee's signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights.



Notice of Site Visit has been posted (LIC9213). The notice shall be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a $100.00 civil penalty. Copies of this report must be posted for 30 days in visible location the authorized representatives of children.

FEES - An application fee adjusted by facility and capacity shall be charged by the department for the issuance of a license to operate a child day care facility. After initial licensure, a fee shall be charged by the department annually, on each anniversary of the effective date of the license.
