On 8/24/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Theresa Marquez conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year inspection at Child Life Learning Center (school age program). LPA Marquez met with Director, Erin Wilcox and toured the facility indoors and outdoors.

This is an after school part-time and full day program which operates on a year round schedule, 6:30 AM – 8:00 AM, 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Transportation is provided.

Furniture and equipment is in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The child care center is clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times. All floors are clean and safe. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Storage areas for poisons are locked.
All kitchen, food preparations and storage areas are kept clean, free of litter, rubbish. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins, have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. Snack menus are posted at least one week in advance, where an authorized representative can view them.

Outdoor activity space surfaces are free of hazards. The areas around or under high climbing equipment and slides and similar equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. In combination programs, outdoor activity space provided for school-age children is utilized on rotation from day care center children (2-6 year old). Uncontaminated drinking water is readily available both indoors and outdoors. There are no bodies of water on the premises. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements.

Erin Wilcox was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Continued on LIC809-C
