25 | On 03/16/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Beneroso met with Director, Meghan Hall-Silveira to conduct an unannounced Annual Random inspection. LPA announced the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry to the facility. LPA toured and inspected the facility. Upon arrival LPA observed 29 children in care and 7 staff members.
The inside and outside of the facility were inspected. There are 4 rooms for indoor activity for the children enrolled in the facility. LPA observed disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children made inaccessible to children. Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and observed to be in good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. The LPA observed individual cubbies with infant’s names. The facility utilizes an isolated area near the Site Director's office to isolate ill infants. The LPA observed the adequate napping equipment for children. The LPA observed 7 staff member and 29 children present. Facility is in compliance with staff to children ratios.
First Aid supplies, smoke, carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers (last serviced date was 6/2023) were observed and in operable condition. Facility conducts emergency drills monthly, last drill recorded was 1/13/2023. Trash cans with tight lids were observed. The center provides meals; Breakfast, lunch and snack are provided. According to the Director, the center participants in a Food Nutrition Program. Food preparation area is adequately equipped, clean, and free from hazards.
Cleaning supplies are out of reach of children and stored separately and away from food. Menu is posted for parent’s review.
