25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gloria Reyes made an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with Site Supervisor, Laura Gutierrez. This center is located on the campus of Ramon Garza Elementary School. This program will operate the traditional school year. This facility operates two half day programs. The morning session will be from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM and the afternoon session will be from 11:45 AM to 2:45 PM. There are no bodies of water. All children are under supervision, including visual supervision, of a teacher at all times. Firearms/weapons are not allowed or stored on premises. The Department has inspection authority. There is a ratio of one teacher supervising no more than 12 children in attendance. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other dangerous items shall be inaccessible to children. Storage areas for poisons are locked. All materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic free. Medications are in a safe place inaccessible to children. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. All floors are clean and safe. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All kitchen, food prep, and storage areas are clean, free of litter, rubbish, and rodents/vermin. Meals are prepared by school cafeteria and children are escorted to the cafeteria. Breakfast and lunch is provided. Uncontaminated drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. Menus are posted at least one week in advance, where an authorized representative can view them, are dated and kept on file for 30 days, and are available on request. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements. A waiver is on file to share the playground area with TK and Kindergarten program. Playground equipment is in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. Areas around high climbing equipment, swings, and slides have cushioning material to absorb falls. CCL shall notify a licensee to immediately terminate the employment of, or to remove/bar any person with specified convictions or for other reasons. (see next page) |
