Per licensee all children are accorded with their Personal Rights. Each child in the facility receiving services is treated with dignity and respect and have certain rights that will never be waived or abridged by anyone providing services in the facility regardless of consent or authorization from the child's authorized representative. These rights include, but are not limited to, the following:
(1) To be treated with dignity in his/her personal relationship with staff and other persons.
(2) To receive safe, healthful, and comfortable accommodations, furnishings, and equipment.
(4) To be free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse, or other actions of a punitive nature, including, but not limited to: interference with eating, sleeping or toileting; or withholding shelter, clothing, medication or aids to physical functioning.
The facility does not provide Incidental Medical Services (IMS)
Every one requiring Mandated Reporter training have done it. Therefore, It fulfills the requirements set forth by Assembly Bill 1207 (2015) which requires all licensed providers, applicants, directors and employees to complete training as specified on their mandated reporter duties and to renew their training every two years.
Per Supervisor new hired staff have 90 days from date of employment to complete training as required. Also, the Supervisor indicated the Center staff are aware of their responsibility of reporting any suspected child abuse to the Child Abuse Hotline at (800) 540-4000.
The Supervisor is well aware of the California Department of Social Services - Community Care Licensing Division(CDSS-CCLD) Web Site www.cdss.ca.gov and uses it often for consultation, and revision of current CCL issues/regulations updates. The Center staff is well aware of the current immunization requirements that went in effect on 07/01/19 regarding varicella (chickenpox) vaccination now due at 15 months month instead 18 months. Went over lead water testing and referred to regulation 2020.
LPA Rodriguez informed the Supervisor about PIN 19-04-CCP. it requires that all Child Care Centers, operating in a building constructed before January 1, 2010, shall have their drinking water tested for excessive lead levels, on or after January 1, 2020, but no later than January 1, 2023.
