On 08/01/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Beneroso met with the Director Jessica Sloan and conducted an Annual Random inspection. LPA toured and inspected the School Age program in accordance with the facility sketch. LPA observed 39 children with 4 Teachers providing care and supervision. The center also operates a Preschool Program (#153808291). The hours of operation are 6:00 am - 6:00 PM Monday -Friday.

Indoor/Children's Area: Indoor activity space has appropriate furniture and equipment. The equipment was inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. The School Age program is equipped with age-appropriate furniture and equipment including, tables, chairs and outdoor play equipment. Per Director equipment, furnishings are sanitized daily.

Per LPA's observations, there are no pools or bodies of water in the facility.

The center is clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair, there are no potentially hazardous areas observed. Floors are clean and safe, cleaning compounds are inaccessible, furniture and equipment in good condition. Each child has own cubby, trash cans have tight fitting lids. LPA observed the carbon monoxide, Fire Extinguisher and smoke detector in working condition. There is a working telephone on the premises, isolation area for ill children is in the quiet area of the classroom where children are supervised by one teacher or in the director's office. Room temperature is comfortable, a fully stocked First Aid Kit was observed, sign in/out sheets were reviewed and contain legal signatures.

Children are inspected for illnesses (wellness policy) as they arrive. A review of medication policy indicated that prescription medication is administered only with parent's written permission and a doctor's note. Each child’s medication is properly stored, dated and labeled


Records: Teacher child ratios were observed, and staff names recorded. Care and supervision were evaluated to determine if the basic needs of children are met and appropriate. Children’s files have all the required forms. Staff records were reviewed and were found to be complete.

Child Food Service: LPA observed appropriate chairs and tables for children in care and equipment in good repair. Per director, the facility currently has a food program. The kitchen was found to be fully stocked and equipped. Menus were available for review. Cleaning components were observed to be stored away from food items.

Restrooms: LPA inspected and observed restrooms to be in clean and sanitized. Toilets were observed to be in operable condition. LPA observed bathrooms to have soap, toilet paper and paper towels readily available. Water temperature is appropriate.

Health Related Services/IMS: This facility does provide Incidental Medical Services– IMS. Medications were observed to be properly stored. Lead Exceedance: Facility was tested for Lead Exceedance on 10/15/2022 and was found to be in compliance with the levels found.

Advisory/Other: The First Aid kits were observed in each classroom and were observed complete with supplies including thermometer, tweezers, scissors, gauze, bandages, cleansing pad/solution, and a first aid manual. CPR/First Aid certification is maintained current and it expires on 06/2026. Mandated Reporter Training is maintained current, it expires on 05/17/2026. Electrical outlets are inaccessible, recalled and or prohibited toys or play equipment were not observed on the premises. There are no window cords accessible to children. Smoking is prohibited on the premises, daily inspection for illness, no prohibited childcare items observed. Firearms/weapons are not allowed or stored on premises. Fire drills are maintained current, the last drill was conducted 07/19/2024.

Medications/ Hazardous Materials: Medications for children are properly stored. Cleaning compounds were observed to be inaccessible to children in care. There are no firearms in the facility and no one smokes. There are no pools or bodies of water in the facility.

Outdoor: Outdoor play equipment was inspected for health, safety, good repair and age appropriateness. The outdoor play area was observed to be free of debris. There is an area for shade and rest. Drinking water is available for children during outdoor playtime. Staff inspect outside play area prior to children exiting to the play area. Outside area is completely fenced. Activity space is used on a schedule so that children are not commingled. The outdoor space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards, cushion material to absorb fall. LPA observed adequate outside shade, play ground free from hazards and debris.

LPA observed Licensing and Parent boards to be incompliance including the required posting (menu, daily schedule, community activities, licensing required documents.

Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platform.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with director and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled children devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register.

No deficiencies were cited. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Jessica Sloan
