25 | On 10/05/2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Luisa Gavoutian conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPA met with Site Supervisor Jennifer Jones, who accompanied LPA on a tour of the facility. The purpose of today’s inspection was to provide Licensee with information on commingling procedures amongst the facility’s infants, toddlers, and preschool age groups. This facility maintains a toddler program under the preschool license (LIC# 103808665).
LPA and Jennifer discussed California Code of Regulations (CCR) Section 101438.3(b), which states, “Indoor activity space for infants shall be physically separate from space used by children in the child care center and school-age child care center components” and CCR Section 101216.4(a)(2), which states, “The toddler program shall be conducted in areas physically separate from those used by older or younger children. Space planning and usage for the toddler component shall be governed by the provisions of Section 101438.3. Plans to alternate use of outdoor play space must be approved by the Department.” Jennifer understands that commingling of children in the different age groups is not allowed at the facility.
Per Chapter 1, Division 12, Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations no deficiencies were observed today. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. |
