An Annual Random inspection was conducted on this date by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michael Duarte. LPA met with Teacher Liz Fortun and toured the facility. This facility operates from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday thru Friday. Facility is operating within the approved licensed capacity at this visit. All children present receive direct visual supervision at all times, and staff were observed maintaining appropriate teacher to child ratios. Facility has a swimming in the outside activity area, the gate is self latching away from the water. Firearms or weapons are not allowed on the premises. All disinfectants, cleaning solutions, toxic chemicals, poisonous items, and medications are inaccessible to children. All toilets, hand washing, and bathing facilities are in safe and sanitary condition. All floors are clean and safe, and furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. All kitchen, food prep and storage areas are clean, free of litter, rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. All food is protected from contamination, and contaminated food is discarded immediately. Solid waste storage vessels, including moveable bins, did not have tight fitting covers on. Uncontaminated drinking water is available both indoors and out. All foods/beverages capable of rapid spoiling are stored in covered containers at 45 (F) or less. Menus are posted at least one week in advance, and are kept on file for 30 days. The person who signs the child in/out uses their full legal signature and records the time of day. Child's admission agreements, and immunization records are available for review.

LPA observed a brown children's rug underneath a table in classroom A that was heavily stained with dirt and food stains.

Playground equipment is in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in safe condition and free of hazards. Areas under/around high climbing equipment, swings, and slides have sufficient cushioning with wood chips to absorb falls. License does not exceed the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license. CCL shall notify a licensee to immediately terminate the employment of, or to remove/bar any person with specified convictions or for other reasons. The licensee shall comply with the notice. Before working or volunteering in a licensed child care facility, all individuals subject to a criminal record review have a clearance or exemption and have been associated to the facility. Staff records contain appropriate, documentation of education credits. LPA was not able to verify the current CPR credentials for staff. Staff did not have proof of required mandated reporter training for child care providers in files. The brown carpet in classroom A is stained with food stains and dirt and needs to be cleaned. There were several window screens throughout the facility that are torn and need to be secured or replaced.

Per Chapter 1, Division 12, Title 22 of California Code of Regulations the following deficiencies were cited today: please see (809-D) on next page.
