25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brannon met with Elsa Navarrete, Quality Assurance Specialist. Licensee is Community Action Partnership of Kern. Licensee is requesting an increase in capacity from 34 to 40 preschool children.
Indoor measurements were taken with Elsa Navarrete. Approximate inside measurements is 1434 square footage; which will meet the requested capacity of 40 preschool children.
Approximate measurements for the outside play area is 4250 square footage; which will meet the requested capacity of 40 preschool children.
There are two classrooms. There are a total of 4 toilets and 4 hand washing sinks in the two children's restrooms. There are drinking water fountains in each classroom that are used for inside drinking water. Licensee is utilizing an igloo with a cup dispenser with disposable cups for the outside play yard.
The following items must be completed prior to granting the capacity increase.
1) Updated application (LIC 200A) with the correct facility address.
2) The half wall used to keep the storage area off limits to children will be removed to provide more square footage. Licensee will provide photographs of removed half wall and storage.
Pending a final file review and completion of above items, a recommendation will be made to license the above facility for a capacity of 40 preschool children.
Exit interview conducted with Quality Assurance Specialist, Elsa Navarrete. No citations issued during today's visit. A copy of this report need to be placed in facility for public review. A Notice of Site Visit was posted on parent board.
