25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rene Mancinas JR, conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPA met with licensee, Maria Salazar, whom is Spanish speaking. There were no day care children present during today’s inspection. The purpose of today’s inspection was to follow up with licensee since being placed back on active licensed status. Licensee requested inspection prior to accepting children in care to verify that the facility was in compliance with regulations and health and safety codes related to child care.
LPA inspected areas that are to be accessible to children, which include, the living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway restroom, and one of the bedrooms. LPA advised licensee to make the off limit areas inaccessible to children by providing means, such as plastic door knob spinners, safety latches, or gates.
LPA provided licensee with sample packets of the forms required for each child in care, as well as packet of forms required to be posted. LPA inspected the backyard and observed an area with miscellaneous items that could pose a risk to children in care. Licensee advised LPA she is planning on putting up a fence to separate those areas from children play areas. LPA observed fencing equipment and tools nearby supporting this statement.
LPA advised Licensee to correct issues mentioned above and inform LPA of when tasks are completed. A follow up inspection to be conducted to ensure facility is in compliance.
Per California Code of Regulations Title 22 Division 12 Chapter 3, no deficiencies are being cited today. Notice of Site Inspection to be posted for 30 days.
