25 | On 7/9/2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Carol Heath conducted an unannounced Required 1 Year inspection at the above facility. Upon arrival LPA Heath was greeted by licensee, Melanie Mackelrath. LPA observed 3 toddlers, 3 preschool age child and 8 school age children. LPA observed Child Care Facility Roster is current. LPA observed 3 children files contained all required licensing documents. Per Licensing Information System, facility annual fees were current. Licensee took proper measures to block any debris to come in contact with the children in care. The licensee is operating within proper capacity and ratios. LPA observed licensee to be present at the home and providing adequate care and supervision. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
This is two story 3 bedrooms, 3 bathroom home with kitchen/dining, family room, living room, formal dining room, office/bonus room and garage. There is no pool/spa or body of water on the premises. Family members residing in the home include 1 adult. Present during the inspection are 3 infants, 5 preschoolers/toddlers, licensee assistant and licensee.
Main care is provided in the game room, office/bonus room/nap room and family room. Children use the bathroom in hallway. Off limit areas include the entire upstairs (Bedroom #1, #2 and #3, bathroom #2 and #3) and garage (laundry in garage). The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds (garage), medicines (upper kitchen cabinet-tight fitting container) and hazardous items (sharp knives in upper cabinet of kitchen) that can pose a danger to children. Fire/earthquake drills complete and maintained current. Roster complete and maintained current. Stairs have a gate.
