25 | On 02/21/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Octavia Nolan and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Cynthia Brannon conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee Silvia Uribe. Also present was Licensee's adult children. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 5:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Licensee also provides other hours as needed. The home has a working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is 661-331-9579. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained.
LPA toured the home inside and outside. A census was taken and there was one daycare children present. This is a single level home and there are no stairs. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that the kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom #1, and hall bathroom are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of doorknob spinners.
The outdoor play area in the backyard is fenced and there are hazards to children present. During today's inspection, LPA observed three upright, metal bolts cemented in the fenced backyard area. There is also a sheared off post in the back yard with pointed parts. Safe toys and play equipment were observed and are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts.
There are no fireplaces or open face heaters in the home. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Fire drills are conducted and documented with the date and time every six months.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. Licensee stated there are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, and other hazardous items were not made inaccessible during the inspection. LPA observed
