LPA Pete Espinoza conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection to follow-up on proposed renovations/alterations to the home. Licensee has obtained building permit to "Construct and convert existing patio into a game room". Licensee stated "game room" will be used for day-care. Licensee stated the final approval by County of Kern - Building Department has NOT been obtained as of this date.

LPA observed completed roof work and "game room" with finished/painted walls and flooring. LPA observed day-care furniture in "game room". Licensee stated AC unit is installed and operable. Licensee stated kitchen remodel and installation of windows in living room/kitchen were not done and will be done at a later date. LPA observed newly installed play structure in back yard that is anchored accordingly.

Licensee stated she is currently watching school-age children only. Licensee stated rooms for day-care use are the living room, kitchen, restroom and bedroom 1. Licensee stated all other areas including "game room will be off-limits and inaccessible to children during day-care operating hours until approved by Fresno Regional Office for use. Licensee stated current operating hours are Mon - Fri 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM.

LPA observed two openings in wall for windows in "game room" facing pool with less than three (3) feet walkway between window and pool. Licensee stated she install new windows that are solid and do not open.

Licensee will provide revised Facility Sketch when renovations/alterations are completed.

Licensee will notify Fresno Regional Office when all work is completed and approved by County Building Department.

An inspection will be required to approve "game room" for day-care use
