13 | On 12/12/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Theresa Marquez conducted a complaint inspection and met with licensee Andrea Barton. Assistant Jamir Hairston was also present. The purpose of this inspection is to issue the final complaint findings for the above allegation.
During the investigation, LPA observed the conditions of children in care, interviewed staff, parents and children and reviewed video footage from inside and outside the day care home. Interviews revealed inconsistent statements from both staff and children. Staff present stated day care children were not spoken to inappropriately. Of parents interviewed, none stated or alluded to observing staff speaking inappropriately to children in care.
Although the allegation may have happened or may be valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove an alleged violation occurred, therefore, the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED.
Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, no deficiency is cited today for these allegations. An exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee Andrea Barton. A copy of Appeal Rights and the Notice of Site Visit was given to Barton and must remain posted for 30 days. |
