25 | On 11/17/2023, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Adrian Pizano and Kari McWilliams conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection. LPAs met with Licensee, Venus Govea, toured the facility, and took a census. The purpose of today’s inspection was to discuss a deficiency found during the course of a complaint investigation.
Under Health and Safety Code section 1597.467(b), a “report shall be made to the department by telephone or fax during the department’s normal business hours before the close of the next working day following the occurrence during the operation of a family day care home of any of the following events . . . [a]ny unusual incident or child absence that threatens the physical or emotional health or safety of any child.” On Wednesday, 04/26/2023, Licensee was made aware of an unusual incident pertaining to her Family Child Care Home however, Licensee did not notify the department until Friday, 4/28/2023.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, the following deficiency is being cited: (see next page).
A copy of this report is to be made available to the public upon request. Licensee was provided with a copy of appeal rights.
