25 | On 1/25/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Ruby Ocegueda conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, Patricia . Also present was Staff #1 (S1) and four day care children. Licensee is Spanish Speaking. A Covid-19 risk assessment was completed. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM or other hours as arranged.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. Current facility sketch reviewed and Licensee confirmed that the kitchen, dining area and one hall bathroom and living room are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of plastic door knob covers and locked doors. There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. Licensee stated that there are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection and licensee stated they were kept in a locked shed. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
There are no fireplaces or open face heaters in the home. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are no stairs in this home. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is 909-586-4024.
LPA discussed Safe Sleep Regulations with licensee. There was a child over the age of 12 months old (child #1) sleeping in the only approved crib in the facility while there were infants under age 12 months in care. Licensee stated she has placed an infant under 12 months old in a product similar to a play pen, however upon inspection by LPA was observed to have no padding on the bottom (only a sheet like material that corresponded with the product). This would cause and infant to sleep over the sheet like material and carpet covered ground. Report continued to 809-C
