32 | LPA did not observe any bodies of water during the inspection. Rocio has a 2A10BC Fire extinguisher that was purchased on 04/24/2020. Rocio was advised that the fire extinguisher needs to be serviced or replaced yearly. Applicant and her husband have completed the Health and Safety Preventative Training. Both of them are current with the CPR & first Aid which expires October 19, 2021. Both Rocio and her husband meet the immunization requirements per SB 792. Rocio has not taken the Mandated reporter AB 1207 Training since its not available in her language yet. Rocio understands that she needs to take it as soon as its available.
Applicant stated that she will not be transporting day care children. Applicant understands that she must have proper restraints and/or car seats for all the children under her care when transporting children. Rocio was reminded that any advertising (of day-care) such as business cards, flyers/posters, and/or signs must include facility number as per Title 22 Regulation "Advertisements and License Number" 102359 (a). Rocio was made aware that smoking is prohibited on the premises of a family child care home as specified in Health and Safety Code Section 1596.795(a). Applicant stated that her home is smoke-free. LPA also advised applicant that fire drills are to be conducted at least once every 6 months and must be documented with date and time. A fire drill log was provided as an example.
This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. LPA discussed AB 633 and handed Pre-licensing packet to applicant. Reviewed and issued to applicant updated samples of state required forms to be kept in the children's record. Discussed information of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and Never Shake a Baby brochure. Applicant was made aware that it is her responsibility to know the regulations for Family Child Care Home which can be accessed on-line at www.ccld.ca.gov. Also, Applicant was informed that baby walkers, jumpers, bouncers, exersaucer or any similar article are not permitted on the premises during day care hours.
