32 | Storing of toxins/cleaning compounds was discussed. Cleaning supplies were stored out of children’s reach. Children bring their own water and bottled water is available as needed. Outdoor equipment was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. Required shade and fencing were inspected and they were in compliance with Title 22 regulations. Climbing structures/slides and other large play equipment is found to be securely anchored with adequate resilient cushioning material underneath and around the perimeter.
Play area was inspected for hazards, miscellaneous debris such as branches, trash or leaves or accessibility to bodies of water and none was observed. CPR and First Aid certificates was current.
LPA reviewed a sample of children’s files and observed files were complete. Prior to working or volunteering in a licensed child care facility, all individuals subject to a criminal record review have received a criminal record clearance or exemption. The name of the child care center director or fully-qualified teacher(s) designated to act in the director’s absence has been reported to the Department. LPA reviewed a sample of staff files and observed files were complete. LPA provided Administrator with a copy of the Disaster and Mass Casualty Plan regulation and information on ensuring the plan follows regulating requirements, to be maintained at the facility moving forward. LPA provided a copy of the Mandated Reporter training regulation and will ensure completion every two years.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) are not currently being provided. Licensee is aware that an IMS plan is required to be submitted to the licensing office if they provide any of these services. LPA and Licensee discussed the Community Care Licensing website www.ccld.ca.gov which will provide access to Provider Information Notices (PINs), Quarterly Updates, COVID-19 Information and Resources, Mandated Reporter Training, Safe Sleep in Child Care, Lead Poisoning Facts, Forms and Regulations.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.
