25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ariel Cazares conducted an announced case management inspection on this date for the purpose of inspecting the facility prior to reactivating the license. LPA met with Director Jennifer Neumayer and toured the facility.
This facility operates a Parent Cooperative on the property of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Entrance to the facility can be gained through a parking lot located on Hastings Ranch Drive. The facility consists of 5 classrooms: Classroom 1-4 (Classroom 1 to be newly added) and Classroom 9 located downstairs. There is an office in Classroom 5 and teacher workroom in Classroom 6. The facility has two separate playgrounds (lower and upper) that are designated for the facility. Facility does not share areas with Church or other programs.
LPA conducted the inspection to ensure the facility is ready and in compliance with the Department's regulations. Due to some repairs and construction, the facility's classrooms are not ready for use by children. There are 4 broken windows in the facility that need to be repaired: office, teacher workroom, and Classroom 3 (2 windows). The classrooms need to be set up for instruction and activity. LPA tested the detector in Classroom 9 and found it to be operational. There are smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in each room.
Prior to reactivating the facility's license to operate the following must be completed and corrected:
1. Fix the broken windows in the office, teacher workroom, and Classroom #3.
2. Set up the classrooms for use by children.
3. Clear out materials and equipment in the downstairs bathroom used by Classroom #9.
Exit interview was conducted with Jennifer Neumayer and a copy of the report was provided. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. |
