Children are inspected for illnesses (wellness policy) as they arrive. No children in care have incidental medical needs. There is a separate area for isolation for ill children in the office area (cot available).

Outdoor play equipment was inspected for health, safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. The play area has sand and concrete. The area was observed to be free of debris. There is an area for shade and rest. Water pitcher and disposable cups are brought outside during play. Play area was inspected and found to be free of hazards and inaccessibility to bodies of water. Swing and large jungle gym are anchored. Director reported that the gym is utilized for tricycle riding. While there is a water fountain and bathrooms inside the gym, the children do not use those facilities to prevent injuries. When present in the gym, they continue to use the outside bathrooms and they bring water out for the children.

There is a clean fully equipped kitchen (off limits) with refrigerator (2), freezer, stove and microwave oven. The facility provides one light snack. Allergy lists are posted in the classroom and there are multiple signs stating that the preschool is a "Nut Free Zone". LPA observed an appropriate amount of snacks. The chemicals are kept separate from the food. Director reported that the pitchers used for water for children to drink are sanitized daily at the end of the operating day.
