Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Thelma Razo and Anomeh Eivazian conducted an unannounced Required - 1 Year inspection. LPAs met with Director Somer Reed who guided LPAs on the tour of the facility. Center is licensed for 22 infants from 0 month to 2 years. Hours of operation is from Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Per Director, there are currently 20 children enrolled. There is a preschool center program under the same entity, License #191231198 at the same location.

LPAs inspected areas according to the facility sketch on file. There are two classrooms used by the infant program with two changing tables for each room. Ill isolation area is located in the school office. LPAs observed all posting requirements for operation are prominently placed to include but not limited to LIC 203A - License, LIC 610A - Emergency Disaster Plan, LIC 9148 - Earthquake Preparedness Check List, PUB 394 -Notification of parent’s rights poster, LIC 613A - Personal Rights, PUB 269 - Child Car Seat Law, AM and PM snack menus and lunch that is at least one week in advance, and activity schedule.

PHYSICAL PLANT: Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All toilets and hand washing sinks are safe, sanitary and are operational. All kitchen areas/food preparation areas and food storage areas are kept clean and are free of litter. Trash cans used to discard food have tight fitting lids. Drinking fountains are available indoors and outdoors. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects and rodents. First Aid supplies were available. Carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors are present and in operable condition. Fire extinguishers have been serviced in June 2019.

Outdoor playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Toys and equipment are age appropriate.

Napping equipment and bedding were inspected for good condition, appropriate storage and cleanliness. Storage for children's belongings was inspected. LPAs observed children's cubbies inside the classrooms. Parents take blankets home on Friday and return on Monday. Teacher child ratios were observed, and staff names recorded. Sign in and out sheets were reviewed. During this inspection, there were 15 infants present and all were signed in.

FACILITY RECORDS: All individuals present have obtained a criminal record clearance or criminal record exemption. There is at least one person trained in CPR and Pediatric First Aid present during this inspection.
staff files, children's roster and files were reviewed. Disaster drill log was available, last drill was conducted on 1/13/2020.
Per Director, facility provides Incidental Medical Services (IMS). For IMS information, see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. LPAs advised facility to check the CCL website at www.cdss.ca.gov for licensing forms, regulations, quarterly updates and PINs. LPAs provided a copy of PIN 19-02-CCP - Safe Sleep Awareness Campaign.

No deficiency is being cited in accordance to Tittle 22 of the California Code of Regulations Division 12 during this visit.

Notice of Site Visit (LIC9213) was provided and must be posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
