On 5/16/2022 11:59Am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Densie Miranda and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Claudia Escobedo, conducted an unannounced Required 1- Year Inspection to the facility. At 12:02 PM, LPA and LPM met with Director Robin Gee. According to the center Director, the facility operates: Monday – Friday from 7:00am – 6:00pm. At 12:08 PM. LPA and LPM were guided on a tour of the facility inside and outside.

Facility is licensed for 120 preschoolers ages – 2-6 years old and 24 children ages 18 months to 30 months in the toddler option program. The toddler option operates in rooms #1 and #3. The facility will be revised the form LIC999A (floor plan) and (yard), will be submit to LPA Miranda.
LPA Miranda and LPM Escobedo observed 94 preschooler children under supervision of 15 staff and the toddler component was observed 24 toddler children under supervision of 4 staff. Also, was present Director and Director Assistant Ailin Sacks. LPA and LPM observed all children are under supervision, including visual supervision, of a teachers at all times.
Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. All materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic free. All toilets and handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. All floors in the facility are clean and safe.
Per Director, parents will bring their own lunch or they will buy from a third party company. Facility provide only the snacks. LPAs observed the preparation area and storage areas are clean, free of litter/rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. All

food is protected against contamination. Contaminated food is discarded immediately.
Solid waste storage containers was observed at the outdoor area and inside of the classroom without covers.
LPA Miranda and LPM Escobedo observed on the toddler outdoor area with cracks on the floor around the tree, that needs to be repair. Pipe on the wall needs to be inaccessible to the children in care. Outdoor - Mini Ranch - All the trees that has sharp thorns needs to barricade.
Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors.
Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts, disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. No poisons were observed during the inspection.
There is a swimming pool on the premises, that was inspected with fence working. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises.
The facility is free of flies, insects and rodents. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements. The child care center was observed to be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair.
LPA verified staff have received a criminal record clearance or exemption. LPA advised upon notification from the Department, the Director will comply and act immediately to terminate the employment of, remove from the facility or bar from entering the facility for any person it is deemed necessary while the Department considers granting or denying an exemption.
Capacity and limitations as specified on the license are being maintained. At least one person trained in CPR and Pediatric First Aid is present when children are at the facility or at offsite activities.
Facility maintains a ratio of one teacher supervising no more than 12 preschool children in care and one teacher supervising no more than 6 toddler children. The facility is equipped to isolate and care for any child who becomes ill during the day.

LPA reviewed a sample of 15 children’s files and observed files were complete with contact information for authorized representative and or relatives or others who can assume responsibility for the child and medical assessment.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) are not currently being provided. Director is aware that an IMS plan is required to be submitted to the licensing office if they provide any of these services. To improve the quality and value of the new inspection process, a survey will be sent to the email address provided. Please complete the survey and share your inspection experience. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA and Director discussed the Community Care Licensing website www.ccld.ca.gov which will provide access to Provider Information Notices (PINs), Quarterly Updates, COVID-19 Information and Resources, Mandated Reporter Training, Safe Sleep in Child Care, Lead Poisoning Facts, Forms and Regulations.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, deficiencies are not cited.
LPA Miranda will conducted a second announced inspection to continue this Required 1 year - inspection.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Robin Gee. A copy of this report, appeal rights and Site of Visit was provided to the Director.
