An informal office meeting was conducted on this date with director Sandrine Bellairs and Lead Teacher Monica Childers. In attendance was Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Timothy Fields, Licensee Program Analyst Elka Chavez, and Licensing Program Manager (LPA) Trevino Cochran.

The purpose of the informal meeting was to discuss the following items:
  1. Personal Rights

The following was discussed with director Sandrine Bellairs and lead teacher Monica Childers:

Licensing staff discussed personal rights and the facility's disciplinary policy. Director states a new disciplinary policy has been implemented and added to the parent handbook that states the following:

The first incident of aggressive or disruptive behavior a call will be placed to the child's parents. On-going aggressive behavior will result in the child's dismissal. After the first incident a meeting will be conducted with staff and the child's parent to address the child's behavior and plan will be developed to redirect the child. LPM requested director develop a disciplinary policy for staff and document information in the employee handbook, as well as topics on in-service training. A sign in/out sheet will be provided for staff who attend the in-service training.

Director Sandrine Bellairs and lead teacher Monica Childers was advised of the following:
  1. Increased monitoring for 18 months.
  2. Review Race to the Top video available on the department website. www.ccld.ca.gov.
  3. Facility will be referred to the TSP program.
  4. Licensing department will be provided with the employee and parent handbook within 45 days.
