32 | During this inspection staff#1 stated that she confirmed with teachers that teachers currently only use water and soap to disinfect toys and they do not use water and bleach.
Per staff#3 and staff#4, teachers use water and soap to disinfect toys daily and let it air dry. Also per staff#3 and staff #4, teacher use Clorox wipes and sanitizing sprays to clean surfaces and toys.
Per facility director, from 04/11/19 to 05/13/19, 21 preschoolers, 06/19/19 to 08/19/19, 5 preschoolers, and 01/03/2020 to 01/27/2020, 1 preschooler were exposed to hand, foot, and mouth disease. Also, from 01/12/2020 to 02/12/2020, 2 preschoolers and 6 teachers were exposed to pink eye.
Based on LPAs observations and interviews which were conducted and record reviews, the preponderance of evidence standard has been meet, therefore the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED at this time. California Code of Regulations, 101638.1(h)-- General Sanitation, is being cited on the attached LIC9099D.
Exit interview was conducted with Billie Turner, including, but not limited to Provider Rights, Appeal Procedures and Agencies Consultative Role. A copy of this report and all other Licensing reports must be made available to the public for 3 years.
