32 | The school-age children will utilize Classrooms #8 and the cottage room that is detached and located across from the playground. At 3:15pm LPA was guided outdoors and observed the playground that children will use. It will be shared on a staggered schedule. LPA was guided through the cottage where a second group of school-age children will be housed. There is a separate restroom that can be used. Drinking water is available for children in form of a water jug and disposable cups. There is a staff room in the cottage. This can be used as an isolation room if needed.
Bathrooms for the school-age children are located in one the church buildings next to the preschool facility. There are two separate restrooms. The first restroom consists of 2 toilet, 3 urinals, and 3 sinks. The second restroom consists of 3 sinks and 5 stalls with a toilet each. There is a designated outdoor play area with age appropriate equipment and activities. Drinking water is made available for children outdoors.
If children become ill during the day, they will rest in the isolation area located in the office or an empty classroom. There is a staff restroom located by the office that can be used as isolation restrooms. Children’s authorized representative will be contacted immediately for pick up, if a child becomes ill. Department of Public Health will be contacted in regard to any COVID-19 illness.
Children will stay with the same group as assigned and will not be moved from one group to the other. At this time, cohort and group size must be kept at no more than 12 children and must be kept physically separated. Age appropriate furniture including tables and chairs and are present in each of the rooms to meet the needs of children in care.
The facility will maintain children files that include emergency authorization cards and staff files that include proof of criminal background clearance. All childcare areas, including the playgrounds, will be cleaned and sanitized daily or more often as necessary following the facility’s cleaning and sanitation policies.
LPA informed director that the Regional Manager will make contact with her to review the terms and conditions of the waiver. To further ensure the health and safety of the children in care, Community Care Licensing will provide on-going Technical Assistance (TA) to the facility. LPA advised director to stay updated with the Provider Information Notices (PINs) on the department website www.ccld.ca.gov as well as www.covid19.ca.gov for COVID-19 related information. A copy of this report will be sent via email with an attached read receipt as proof of receipt. LPA request report be signed and a copy returned to the Regional Office. |
