25 | This was a case management inspection conducted by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ariel Cazares, due to COVID-19 and precautionary measures. This case management inspection was conducted with Director Veronica Tolosa via a tele-inspection by use of Zoom the purpose of inspecting additional areas to be used under the licensed facility.
At 10:00am LPA was guided through a tour of the facility. The facility is currently operating and a total of 10 children with 3 staff were observed. LPA was taken on tour of the classrooms, the outdoor area, and both the library and sanctuary that will be added to the facility’s licensed areas. This library will be used as the designated ill isolation area for sick children. LPA observed cots and age appropriate furniture. There are doors and windows in this room to provide ventilation. The staff restroom will be used for ill children. The sanctuary will be used as an additional indoor play space in addition to the outdoor space. LPA inspected this area and observed it to be free of immediate hazards. LPA did observed steps that lead to a stage area. LPA advised director that supervision be maintained at all times around that area. There is a fire extinguisher and functioning carbon monoxide detector in the facility. The facility is not increasing their capacity and will continue to operate within capacity limits and conditions.
At 10:08am LPA was guided through the outdoor area. This area is set up for children for mealtimes. There is a sink available outside and tables and chairs are arranged to comply with social distancing guidelines. LPA requested photos of current set up of the rooms to be used. Photos were sent during inspection. Based on the documents submitted and the inspection on this date, the facility is in compliance and requested spaces can be used temporarily. This does not grant an increase to the license.
Exit interview was conducted with Director Veronica Tolosa via tele-inspection. This report along with a copy of the appeal rights will be sent to the director via email with a read receipt which will act as the Applicants/Licensee’s signature. A copy of the signed report will also be sent to the Department. |
