25 | On August 9, 2022 at 2:30 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Carolyn Tuba conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the above facility. There were no Covid-19 risk at this time. LPA met with Licensee, Nancy Schreiber who guided analyst on a tour of the home. Present during this inspection, was Assistant, Debra Cumpston. Per Licensee hours of operation are 7:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. There were 12 children that are currently enrolled and 10 children in care today. A current children’s roster was not available for review.
This is a single-story residence with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Areas used by the children include the kitchen, play room, living room, dining room, back yard, 1 bathroom and 3 bedrooms for napping only and they were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Per Licensee, areas that are off limits to children include 1-bathroom, front yard and garage. The licensee provides a pm snack and parents provide lunch which is served at 11 am. There is telephone service via cell phone that is used during operation hours. There is ventilation and central heating and air. Safe toys, play equipment and materials were observed.
Individuals who reside in the home are only the Licensee. Per Licensee, she currently has 1 assistant for the summer only. During the school year she does not have as many children in care.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated
