25 | An unannounced decrease in capacity site inspection was conducted on this date by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cynthia Reyes, for the purpose of Inspecting and approving removal of 1 portable from the school age license. LPA spoke with Rosemary Heaslip, Division Director on the phone as no one was at the facility at this time. Rosemary stated she is sending a Sub Teacher on her behalf to meet the LPA to conduct the inspection. Daniel Moreno, Sub Teacher arrived shortly after. Due to COVID-19 precautionary measures were taken during the entire inspection and all individuals present during this inspection wore appropriate personal protective equipment. This facility operates a morning and afternoon session Tuesday though Friday from 6:30-9:30am and 1-6pm, and Monday 6:30-8:30am and 12-6pm.
This center is previously licensed for 80 school age children and request to decrease to 40 preschool children. The school age consists of 2 portable classrooms, located off Janis street at the top of the long stair case. The only portable the school age children will use is the portable on the left side of the top of the stairs and the portable on the right side will no longer be in use by the school age program. The school age program is physically separate from other components on this site, both indoors and outdoors.
At 10am Daniel, guided the LPA on a tour of the facility indoors and outdoors, during the walk through. All areas were inspected to meet the regulations. No citations or corrections are needed at this time.
The capacity decrease will be granted. The license then will be amended to reflect the new capacity of forty (40) preschool children and a new license will be mailed to the facility. During this inspection LPA discussed Social and Physical Distancing Guidance And Healthy Practices For Child Care Facilities In Response To The Global Corona virus (COVID-19) Pandemic. A approved fire clearance is on file for the decrease to 40.
10 AM Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Teacher Daniel Moreno.
