Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Seung Lee conducted an Annual Random inspection to the above facility. LPA met with Licensee's, Chun-Lien Jen, who guided Analyst on a tour of the facility. LPA observed six (2) children in care at the time of inspection and per Licensee, seven (7) children are currently enrolled. A facility roster was available and is current.

This is a single story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, formal living room, dining room, breakfast nook, and kitchen. Children have access to the formal living room, dining room, breakfast nook, bedroom #1 (sleeping area only), and bathroom in the hallway. Off-limits to children in care, are the two additional bedrooms and bathroom. Per Licensee, there is no outdoor play area for children in care. The home was inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, ventilation, and telephone service (land line). LPA observed a fireplace in the formal living room, however there is a metal screen barrier in place to prevent children from gaining access.

Currently residing in the home are both Licensee's and no additional adults or children. All individuals must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in a licensed home. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger, were inaccessible to children in care during this inspection.

LPA observed a fully charged 2:A-40:B-C fire extinguisher and the receipt attached indicates it was purchased on 06/15/2016. Per State Fire Marshall standards, fire extinguishers shall be serviced annually. The smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were working properly. There are age appropriate toys available for children. There are no pets or bodies of water on the premises.
