On 08/05/2022, the Department received notification from the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), Division of Drinking Water (DDW). The SWRCB report indicated the facility was inspected and samples were collected on 06/082022. Faucets and drinking fountain reported with 5.5 ppb or greater lead exceedance levels were as follows:
A drinking fountain in the outdoor play space (12.0 UG/L) – Fountain currently not in use.
The Director stated that this fountain has not been used since 2020 due to the pandemic and was only turned back on to provide the sample of the water. Since the facility was notified of the lead result, the fountain was turned off again and will not be used. During the inspection LPA Lee was able to verify that the drinking fountain was not operational.
