32 | LPA Clayton conducted a Health and Safety inspection of the food storage area and observed it to be free of litter/rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. All food is protected against contamination and any contaminated food is to be discarded immediately. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair.
LPA Clayton observed working Smoke/Carbon Monoxide detector combos in classroom 2, 3 and 5, and fully charged Fire Extinguishers in classrooms 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. LPA Clayton observed a pull fire alarm in room 5. LPA Clayton observed the facility disaster log indicating the drills are conducted according to Title 22 regulations.
LPA Clayton reviewed 5 children’s files and observed the files containing current contact information of parents and authorized representatives, authorization for medical treatment, signed Parent’s Rights and signed Personal Rights receipts.
LPA Clayton reviewed 5 employee files which were found to be complete and in compliance.
LPA Clayton reminded Director Kristi that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Childcare Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
