32 | Outdoor playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All areas around or under high climbing equipment, swings, slides, and similar equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. There is adequate shade in the play yard. Availability of outdoor drinking water was observed.
All individuals present have have not obtained a criminal record clearance or criminal record exemption this is a potential health and safety risk to children in care. There is at least one person trained in CPR and Pediatric First Aid present during this inspection.
Children’s Records were reviewed for completeness; Inspection of required forms was made. LPA issued the Children’s Record Review (LIC 857) to the licensee during this inspection.
In review of children’s records, files contain information including, but not limited to the following: LIC 613A Personal Rights, Admission Agreement, LIC700 Identification and Emergency Information, LIC 701 Physician's Report, LIC 995 Notification of Parents Rights LIC 627 Consent for Emergency Medical Treatment
Children's roster was reviewed and is current. Sign-In and Sign-Out sheets were available via an application called Playground, Director was able to print attendance from the application during inspection. The printed attendance did not show signatures at the time of inspection however the box Signature was checked. Disaster drill log was available, last drill was conducted on 10/20/2022 (Earth Quake Drill)
Menus are posted one week in advance where it is visible by the child's authorized representative. Menus for the past 30 days are available upon request. Snacks are provided by facility. All snacks are kept in each classroom.
First Aid supplies were observed in the classroom in a back pack hanging from door. according to the Director, medication is only administered to a child by the nurse accompanied with a doctor's note and a parents note.
