An unannounced Required Annual Inspection was conducted on 04/29/22 at 1:09pm by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Raul Navarro. Facility is currently licensed for a capacity of 50 School Age Children ranging from 5 to 11 years of age. At the time of arrival there were 35 children present with four school-age staff present. Licensing staff met with Director Abril Fragoso who guided LPAs on an indoor and outdoor tour of the facility. The program currently operates Monday thru Friday from 12:15 am - 6:30 am. Facility is located inside of Naples Elementary.

All areas identified on the Facility Sketch were inspected. Areas used by the children include one classroom, a portion of the playground, outside lunch area, and restrooms located near the outside lunch area. Restrooms are in good condition. Food is brought to the facility from an outside vendor. Per Director, children bring water from home. Facility has a refill station and water fountains as well. Sign-in sheets were reviewed. Children items are stored on hooks outside the classroom. LPA observed age appropriate toys and equipment. There was no napping equipment to be inspected.

Outdoor area and equipment was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. Required shade and fencing were inspected. Play area was inspected for hazards and inaccessibility to bodies of water. Teacher child ratios were observed and staff names recorded. First Aid kit was inventoried. Per director there are no children are currently taking medication at this time.

Review of required forms was made. LPA observed required forms to be posted on the Parent Board located near the entrance of the facility. LPA observed the following: Facility License, Snack Menus, LIC 913A Personal Rights, PUB 269 Child Car Seat Poster, PUB 369 Notification Of Parent's Rights and LIC 610 Emergency Disaster Plan. LIC 9148 Earthquake Preparedness and Verification of Disaster and Fire Drills were reviewed.

Smoke detectors and Carbon Monoxide are present in the facility and were tested and operating. Fire extinguisher was serviced on November, 2021. Snack menus were reviewed and facility provides an afternoon snack to children.

Director, was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

At this time, the facility is in compliance with California Title 22 Regulations. Therefore, there are no citations issued during today's inspection.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Abril Fragoso. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
