25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Shandra Powell conducted an unannounced POC (Plan of Correction) inspection to ensure that the Type B deficiencies cited on 07/26/2019 have been cleared. LPA met with Gloria Williams, Director, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. There were 19 children napping with 5 staff present during this inspection. The following has been observed:
The deficiencies cited on 07/26/19 have been corrected. LPA observed and reviewed the following:
- Employees Immunization Requirements.
- Water faucets are in good repair (water pressure).
At this time, the facility is in compliance. Therefore, no deficiencies are being cited.
LPA cleared deficiencies on this date and provided a copy of the Licensing Report to Director. LPA issued POC clearance letter during the visit.
LPA advised the Director and Lead Teacher of the importance of Safe Sleep Practices. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) more than 3,500 babies in the U.S. perish suddenly and unexpectedly every year while sleeping, often due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). An infant is a child under 24 months of age. Licensee was given a copy of “A Child Care Provider’s Guide to Safe Sleep” pamphlet during the visit. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. Exit interview was conducted with Gloria Williams, Director, including, but not limited to Provider Rights, Appeal Procedures and Agencies Consultative Role. |
