25 | On 05/03/2023 at 10:45 AM, Maria Rendon and Antonio Almanza, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) conducted an unannounced case management visit for the purpose of following up on Action Lead Exceedance (ALE), facility inspection. LPA met with Kendell Parie, Operations Manager and April Schafer, Director of Admissions and toured the facility. During today’s visit LPA's observed 59 children and 12 teachers.
Community Care Licensing was notified of the results of the Lead Water Testing conducted at the facility on 03/13/2023. The facility has seven water outlets (OO), (RR), (KK), (VV), (J), (F), and (XX) with lead exceedances of 26, 8.3, 7.8, 7.3, 6.1, 5.9, and 5.8, respectively. Test samples testing over 5.5 ppb and above is considered an exceedance.
LPA's observed the 2 water fountains (VV and XX), located in the back patio, capped and removed from service.
Facility is reporting that the 5 water fountains OO, RR, KK, J, and F locate in classrooms 81, 83, 77, 60 and 57, respectively, have been replaced, are not in use and are pending retesting. LPA's observed the water outlets covered with “Do Not Use Until Removed by Sampler” notice. Facility is providing water bottles and or using drinking fountains in the yard.
