observed place markers on the tables. Per Director children not sit one to a table. LPA also observed marking's on the carpet used as visual social distance guides for the children. LPA also observed advised posting at children's eye level underneath the cubbies. Per Director the water fountains are currently off limits and classrooms are using individual cups and water jugs. LPA observed drop off station temperature and screening area at the entrance of the facility.
LPA discussed safe sleep with Director. Per Director the facility is following safe sleep regulations. LPA observed a crib for each child individually labeled with their name and a picture. The cribs were visible and free of hazardous items. LPA observed a fitted sheet on each mattress and a visual of the safe sleep positions and environment posted on each crib. Per Director staff check napping infants every 15 minutes. LPA observed a "15 Minute Nap Time Check" log in the nap area. Older infants nap on cots.
Director is seeking to provide care for 24 Infant children; Based on measurements, the facility has space for: 14 Infants outdoors and 24 Infants indoors. Director has requested an Outdoor waiver for staggered play. A fire clearance has been granted as of 12/9/2020. Capacity increase may be granted upon Licensing Program Manager (LPM) approval of application and outdoor waiver.
At this time, the facility is in compliance with California Title 22 Regulations. Therefore, there are no deficiencies being issued today.
The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative.
Exit interview was conducted with Ana Fragoso-Tovalin Director, via Zoom, during which appeal rights were explained. This report along with a copy of the appeal rights will be sent to the facility via email with a read receipt or confirmation of receipt of email, which will act as the Director's signature.
