Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Seung Lee conducted an unannounced Required inspection. LPA met with Director Patricia Klindsworth who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. This is a Preschool program which operates Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm. The facility operates on the grounds of a Kindergarten through Sixth grade school; however the preschool program is physically separate from the rest of the school.

LPA observed the following: Room A (One Teacher & AIde, six children); Room B (One Teacher five children); Room C (One Teachers, seven children).

Physical Plant. Furniture and equipment was inspected for age appropriateness and good repair free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Napping cots were inspected for good condition, appropriate storage and cleanliness. Bedding and sheets are taken home and washed every Friday. Floors are clean and safe. Disinfectants and cleaning solutions are kept in a storage area inaccessible to children Note: Any Poisons shall be kept locked. The facility has central air/heating. Electrical outlets are inaccessible. Trashcans have tight fitting lids for discarding food. Restrooms are clean and odor free. There is an adequate supply of toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. All restroom fixtures are height appropriate for children. Staff have their own restroom located near the office. The isolation area for ill children is located in the office. A mat is available if necessary and children will be escorted to the staff bathroom if ill. Children in the preschool program bring 2 snacks and a sacked lunch from home. Napping equipment is sent home with the parents every week to be washed and brought back to the facility. The children use bottled water inside the classroom and bring them out during outside play time.

The outdoor activity play area is comprised of cement and turf cushioning material. All areas around and under high climbing equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. A drinking fountain was observed in the playground but is not used per Director. The play area also has plenty of shade.
