32 | that is covered. Per FR, fitted sheets are placed on each cot daily, with blankets/linens provided by families and washed by facility weekly. Availability of drinking water was reviewed. LPA observed children's personal water bottles available for children in each classroom. Per FR, they have a large water filter to refill children's water bottles through the day. Age appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability, good repair, water temperature, toilet paper, area safety and sanitation. LPA observed bathrooms are available in each classroom ranging from 1-2 toilets and two sinks each.
Snack/lunch menus were reviewed and observed posted at time of inspection in lobby and in each classroom. Per FR, they do not prepare food on site but get food delivered. LPA observed food be delivered and distributed to classrooms during inspection. Trash cans used to discard food have tight fitting lids.
A first aid kit is kept in each classroom, outside, and a larger one in lobby, which LPA inventoried for necessary supplies. LPA tested carbon monoxide detectors and observed to be operable at time of inspection. LPA observed smoke detectors and fire extinguishers to be present in the facility. Per FR, drills are conducted by each classroom though a large school drill is scheduled for later this month. LPA observed disaster drill log available in classroom, last drill conducted on 10/05/2023. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other items that are dangerous to children, were inaccessible to children. LPA observed these items stored on high shelves and cabinets in bathrooms. FR states that there are no poisons used for vermin or bugs stored at the facility. LPA observed medicine that is stored in high shelf in lobby for C1, C2, and C3. LPA discussed requirements for storage and documentation of medications with FR at time of inspection. LPA observed isolation area for sick children is in lobby, where LPA observed a small bed available.
Beginning at 11:45 AM, outdoor equipment was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair and age-appropriateness. LPA observed four different play areas available for children that are each separated by fencing and designated by age groups. LPA observed each play area to have surface that is maintained for designated activities which includes a variety of ride along toys. LPA observed multi-level play structures in outdoor play area all with cushioning material below to absorb fall that has been well maintained. LPA observed benches under shaded area with a variety of manipulatives and building materials free of loose and sharp parts. LPA observed a garden area available for children free of hazards. LPA observed trees and shrubs are maintained at time of inspection. Required shade and fencing were inspected. LPA advised that the children need to be within the direct care and supervision, including visual supervision of the teacher(s) at
