Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Denise Gibbs and Steven Rodriguez conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 8/10/21 at 3:00 PM. LPA met with Evelyn Majano, Facility Representative (FR), who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. This is a preschool program which currently consists of Two classrooms. Regular Facility operation hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4 PM (office hours) Monday-Friday 9 AM-12 PM (preschool),Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 12 PM- 3PM (preschool). Temporary COVID-19 hours for Preschool are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 9AM -12PM and 12:30-3:30 PM. Preschool program is closed Tuesday and Friday but facility is open for office hours. The facility provides half day programs for children with special needs who are referred by Regional Center.

All areas identified on this report were inspected. There were no children present during visit due to temporary COVID-19 hours.

The following was observed during the tour of the facility:

Sign in and out sheets were reviewed to ensure that the person who signs the child in/out uses their full legal signature and records the time of the day. Due to COVID-19, parents are not entering the facility, staff is signing children in at drop off and signing them out when they are picked up.

Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. LPA's observed material and equipment are free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Children have their own cubby to store their belongings. Children do not nap at facility due to two half day programs being provided. Per FR, the isolation area is located in the office. Age appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability and good repair in all restrooms. General sanitation was observed. Trash cans in the classroom have tight fitting lids.



Disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other items that are dangerous to children, were inaccessible in high cabinets in the classroom. Per FR there are no children taking medication and no medication on site at this time. ---------------PAGE 1

Per FR are no poisons stored at the facility and understands that storage areas for poisons must be locked. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements. First Aid supplies were observed in each classroom.

Menus were reviewed to ensure that they are being posted at least one week in advance and visible to an authorized representative. Menus are posted in the classrooms and they were also given out to parents. The facility provides AM snack, lunch and PM snack. Per FR water is readily available for children via pitchers and cups both indoor and outdoors. LPA's observed water pitchers.

All kitchen areas/food preparation areas and food storage areas are kept clean and are free of litter, rubbish, rodents, and/or any other vermin. All storage containers for solid waste in the kitchen, including moveable bins have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. All foods/beverages are stored in covered containers.

Outdoor play equipment was observed to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Outdoor activity surface is maintained in a safe condition as is free of hazards. Areas around and/or under climbing equipment, swings and slides have cushioning material to absorb a fall. The outdoor area has adequate shade. The FR states that there are no bodies of water on the premises and LPA's did not observe any bodies of water during this visit. FR states there are no weapons or firearms on the premises.

All individuals present have obtained a criminal record clearance or criminal record exemption. There is at least one person trained in CPR and Pediatric First Aid present during this inspection.

Children’s records were reviewed for Health Assessment and Emergency Information and are complete. Staff’s Records were reviewed for Medical Assessment, Mandated Reporter, immunization's, CPR and are complete.

LPA conducted COVID-19 Technical Assistance visit with Director. LPA observed that facility is still implementing COVID-19 precautions and procedures.



This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. There are no children with medication at this time. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. AB 2370 Requires that all licensed Child Care Centers that were constructed before January 1, 2010, must test their water for lead within a three-year window, between January 1, 2020 and January 1, 2023, with subsequent testing every 5 years after the date of the first test.


At this time, the facility is in compliance with California Title 22 Regulations. Therefore, there are no citations being issued today 8/10/21.

The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213)must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
