25 | On October 20, 2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted an unannounced required 1-year inspection. LPA met with Director, Laura Hernandez who guided the LPA on a tour of the facility. This is a preschool age program with a toddler component that is licensed for 71 preschoolers and 18 toddlers which operates Monday through Friday from 6:30AM to 8:00PM. Per the Director there are 39 children enrolled. Facility also has an infant program, license number 191806530.
The following classrooms were inspected: Toddler 1: 6 children with 1 teacher, Toddler 2: 0 children 0 teacher, Preschool 1: 3 children with 1 teacher, Preschool 2: 8 children with 1 teacher and PreK: 9 children with 2 teachers. Teacher-child ratios were observed to be in accordance with Title 22 Regulations. Staff names were recorded. All children were observed to be under supervision, including visual supervision. Licensed facility is within the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license.
The classroom furniture and equipment was inspected for good repair, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All indoor classrooms were inspected to ensure that the floors have a surface that is safe and clean. All toilets and washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. All materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic free.
The facility provides breakfast, AM snack, Lunch, PM snack, dinner and water to children in care.
LPA observed that there are functioning smoke and carbon detectors in the facility. LPA observed a fully charged and serviced fire extinguisher. Emergency disaster drill was last conducted on 10/20/2022.
